Digital.
For the Korea broadcasting station called 'MBC' s poster design contest. There 2013's slogan is 'Passion MBC, Passion Korea'. I had to design the poster which describe the slogan visually.
First, I questioned myself about passion and I thought passion is beyond age, gender, job, race. Passion is from someone who appreciates their life, someone who has dream and someone who does their best for anything they do. Therefore I wanted to draw people with happiness. Moreover people in the frame means that MBC delivers their story and everyone represents Korea and their passion.
I've described every small details. This is Korea. Enjoy! ^ ^

BO JA GI

Watercolor.

Bojagi is a traditional Korean wrapping cloth. Bojagi are square and can be made from a variety of materials, though silk is common.

These cloths were created by the women of the household, from leftover scraps of fabric from other sewing, pieced together. Both symmetrical 'regular' and random-seeming 'irregular' patterned cloths were sewn , probably selected by an individual woman's aesthetic tastes.

I've got inspired by Bojagi when I draw this. Enjoy!

Logo work

This logo was for an Economics students of HanYang university. Their symbol is 'lion' and they wanted strong, dynamic, tough image of it.

I'm glad they loved it and it will be printed on the jacket of their department.

Elephant parade

Color pencil.

One of my favorite trips was when I traveled to India for 1 month. Definitely different, but a lovely country and people. I wish I could go back again sometime in the future.

One day, I was listening to the Classic Disney Soundtrack ; Pink Elephants On Parade [Dumbo]. As a child, I remember this scene was pretty scary but also colorful!

I was motivated by colorful elephants and missing India when I drew this. Enjoy!

Card work

My friend finally got a great job, I am so happy about her. She got a card which she needs to enter the building. And she asked me to draw anything to put it on the card.

So I've tried to draw as many different style as possible. Used illustrator program, color pencils and pen.
Card size drawing is actually really fun and allow you to bring up many ideas. Enjoy!
